THE CONSTRUCTION FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
OF NEW JERSEY - SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
THE PROGRAM
The Construction Financial Management Association of New Jersey (CFMA NJ) is administering a scholarship program to assist the family members of CFMA NJ members as well as the family members of coworkers of CFMA NJ Members, who plan to or are currently pursuing post-secondary education in college and vocational programs. Scholarships will be offered for full-time study at any accredited post-secondary institution of the student’s choice.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants to the Construction Financial Management Association of New Jersey Scholarship Program must meet all of the following requirements:
· The child/relative of a CFMA NJ member in good standing or the child/relative of a coworker of a CFMA NJ member in good standing.
· High school seniors who plan to enroll or students currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.
· Only one sponsorship per CFMA NJ member will be accepted.
AWARDS
Two scholarships will be considered each year in the amount of $1,500.00. Payment will be made in late August and the check will be mailed to the bursar of the school where the scholarship recipient will be or is currently attending.
APPLICATION
Each applicant must complete the attached application and mail it along with a current complete transcript of school grades from either the post-secondary school currently attending or from high school, along with a post-secondary school acceptance letter if received, to the address listed below, postmarked no later than July 1, 2025. Applications may be reproduced as needed.
Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore, answer all questions as completely as possible. All information received is considered confidential.
SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS
The Scholarship recipient is selected on the basis of academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors and a statement of educational and career goals. Financial need is not considered.
Final selection of the recipient is made by the CFMA NJ Board of Directors. The award recipient will be notified in August. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as a recipient and the decision made by the CFMA NJ Board of Directors will be final.
REVISIONS
The CFMA NJ Board of Directors reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time, including termination of the program.
